This was a very sad read, but one that I’m glad someone wrote about. In the Philippines, a lot of people work as nannies in the Middle East and they suffer the same work conditions as Leticia. I think it’s modern day slavery but Filipinos generally accept this set-up as part of their way of life, so the efforts to abolish this system is virtually non-existent…
