A quote by Paola Antonelli that says “The difference between a designer and an artist is that an artist can choose to create something responsible or not, whereas a designer has to do something responsible always.”
Quote from Paola Antonelli — last slide of a presentation presented at the International Design Conference 2021 — Illustration by Gloriana Amador Aguero

I have never identified as an artist before. Somebody I went to Design school with has always been very clear about his identity as an artist first, designer second. I have a lot of respect for this person, but I was always frustrated working with him. Things took too much time and were centered too much on aesthetics.
