So many great points! Thank you for this! I’m currently looking for my next and hopefully last job before I dive in my own projects, and during my search I’ve been writing a lot of mental notes on what not to do during the hiring process. I find that generally, in the design industry during the hiring process the hiring managers want you to be creative and thoughtful, but in the actual job you don’t actually get to be that creative thoughtful person. It’s all so frustrating. Just yesterday a hiring manager completely forgot about our phone interview. Maybe they’re no longer interested, and if so an email or a response to my LinkedIn message is at the very least what I deserved.
